In 1996, Taft started his first business, which enabled him to pursue his dream of cultivating minds with the Houston Independent School District. As an educator, he taught math and algebra for six years at the middle school and high school levels. With no formal training in education, Taft led his students to the highest levels of academic success and recognition possible. Upon retiring from the classroom, he was asked by numerous leaders in the field of education to return because of the positive impact he had on both the staff and students.
